Originally released on cassette in 1986 by the tiny Workforce label in Atlanta, GA, Crude Salvage was the first (and only) full-length release by Exploding Cells of Fire, an experimental trio from Columbia, SC, that brought together elements of RIO-influenced ideology, industrial music, minimalism, avant-garde jazz, and progressive rock. Magritte Records will release a facsimile cassette reissue of Crude Salvage in July 2024.
